The HARVEST field trip was a whirlwind two days with visits to Patmore’s Feeds, the largest feed processing facility in WA, Future Energy Australia presentation for the Narrogin renewable biodiesel plant, "Locally Grown, Globally Focused" event hosted by the Wheatbelt Development Commission and the Department of Primary Industries & Regional Development with keynote speakers and panel from agtech, biofuels development, value adding agriculture and digital connectivity, and Unigrain, one of Australia’s leading producers of plant based food and beverage ingredients, with the Wagin facility processes oats for export into Asia, including China, India, Taiwan, and Japan. Innovation Cluster is proud to be one of the nine organisations throughout the State to receive share in over $680,000 in Department of Jobs, Tourism and innovation's X-TEND WA funding!
Through THE SET, this funding will enable us to deliver workshops and education programs to entrepreneurs and startups to build entrepreneurship, innovation and commercialisation in regional WA.
We were honoured to stand alongside fellow recipients of the X-TEND grant and the Innovation Block Grants with the Hon. Stephen Dawson at the MIT REAP - Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program Symposium . Co-hosted by Woodside Energy and Rio Tinto, the symposium emphasised the importance of increasing collaboration between corporate, university, government, risk capital and the entrepreneur in our unique and thriving innovation eco-system.
