Future Founders is a free initiative aimed at nurturing the business acumen of local youth aged 16-25 by introducing participants to  skills, knowledge and mentors designed to bolster their entrepreneurial capability.

The 2024 program included a series of eight expert-led workshops and mentoring with local business leaders. These sessions covered a wide range of topics critical to business success and included 'Meet the Entrepreneur' sessions. Full blog here.

The 7th round of the State Government's Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants program was announced with a record $10 million in funding is available this year to support locally-driven projects in regional Western Australia.  South West businesses are encouraged to apply for funding to support projects that will deliver economic impact and more jobs.
The next WA AgTech Meetup includes
- a Site Tour of WA's Food Innovation Precinct, a state-of-the-art facility fostering industry innovation to drive business growth, develop new products and exports, and transform Western Australia's food and beverage manufacturing facility.
-  Panel Discussion: Accelerating WA's Agrifood Tech Future
- a causal networking session with the panelists, AgriStart's 2024 Harvest cohort and other Meetup attendees, with catering provided by Groundswell.

The new Climate-Smart Agriculture Program Small Grant will support farmers and land holders to adopt sustainable agriculture best practices, as well as facilitate and implement practice change. The grants will improve management of our natural resources and increase sustainable on-farm productivity and resilience to climate change.

Applications are now open and close 9:00 pm AEST on 4 June 2024.
